Aquarium Experience

We designed and built a calming, interactive underwater world—featuring marine life, spatial sound, and intuitive interactions—crafted to feel like a living aquarium in mixed reality.

Experience Adaptation

We adapted the aquarium experience specifically for in-flight use by redesigning interactions, scale, and motion to work within the seated, enclosed environment of an aircraft cabin.

Hands-Free Interaction

The experience was built with a no-controller, hand-tracking-only interface, allowing passengers to explore, interact, and navigate naturally without physical controllers.

Spatial Cabin Mapping

We adapted the experience to the aircraft fuselage by detecting walls and ceilings, using real cabin surfaces to place shells and marine elements within the passenger’s physical space.

VR + Passthrough Modes

A hybrid experience blends fully immersive underwater scenes with mixed-reality cabin views, giving passengers the freedom to switch between escape and awareness.

Seated Safety Design

All interactions were positioned within safe reach zones to ensure passengers remain seated, comfortable, and clear of surrounding cabin boundaries.

Multi-Language Support

The experience supports multiple languages, ensuring accessibility for Lufthansa’s diverse global passenger base.

The Outcome

Frame Sixty created a custom in-flight mixed reality experience designed to transform how passengers relax, explore, and disconnect while flying at 30,000 feet.

Built for Flight

Seated-safe, offline, and optimized for long-haul comfort.

Experience

A calming escape that transforms flight time into relaxation.

Engagement

An interactive experience that keeps passengers immersed longer.

Globally Accessible

Multi-language, age-friendly, and easy for anyone to use.
